I’m working hard to move the needle and have written a children’s book (Braving Our Savings) to reach kids early. I believe every child deserves to know about the power of capital. To do that we need to show them role models and provide education.

Meet the Team Behind the Book

Sarah Samuels, CFA, CAIA, Author & Investment Professional
Sarah is a Partner at NEPC overseeing the investment of $1.5 trillion in assets. She has been recognized for her work through industry awards, is a tireless supporter of financial literacy and equal representation in the investment industry, is an angel investor, chairs the CFA Boston Society and is a mother of two girls (Holland and London, the stars of this book!)

Sawyer is an award-winning artist based in Madagascar. Among her 30+ children’s books published around the world, her work includes The Juneteenth Story (“Best Historical Book 2022 by Black Kidlit Awards) and A Family Looks Like Love (Outstanding Book Award by National Association for Black Journalists).

The Movement: 30 Seconds of Bravery

It’s never too early to inspire young people of all backgrounds to invest. This book is an introduction to some of the fundamental concepts of investing. Join me in teaching kids about this subject—and beginning to set right the imbalances of power in the investment industry and beyond.
